Glasgow.

Glasgow.

A photograph I took in a bathroom in Van Alstyne, Texas is going on a wall in Glasgow, Scotland.

I'm still trying to find a place to put that sentence in my brain.

"Everyone Else Is Dancing" — a diffraction grating photograph of a bathroom mirror at a gala — has been selected for the Glasgow Gallery of Photography Abstract Exhibition. It will be on display and available for purchase throughout August 2026. It is my first international show.

I want to say thank you to the Glasgow Gallery of Photography for taking a chance on a self-taught photographer in North Texas with a piece of optical film and a phone camera. I want to thank everyone who has bought a print, sent a kind message, or simply stood with me while I figured out what kind of artist I was becoming. I'm so grateful to my family who has watched with increasing patience while I pull a tiny square out of my purse to look at something pretty. I'm grateful to an old friend who always hoped I would let my creative side out, and would have absolutely been on the first flight to Scotland in a horrible hat making a scene. Grateful - and shocked - seem interchangeable to me at the moment.

I'll have updates as the show approaches. For now I'm just sitting with the news.

Glasgow.
